PIERS
PIERS
Our piers are designed to provide effective waterfront access tailored to your specific needs, whether for a boat lift, fishing, relaxing by the lake, swimming, or using water toys like kayaks and paddle boards. We offer customizable options to match your lifestyle. Constructed on sturdy steel beams anchored into the lake bottom, our piers ensure stability and durability. For those concerned about winter weather, we also provide cantilever piers for added protection.
We use treated lumber for framing and offer a choice between treated lumber and composite decking for the pier's surface, balancing functionality with aesthetic appeal. This way, we can create a pier that not only meets your practical requirements but also enhances the look of your lakefront property. Whether you need a standard size or a custom configuration, we’re committed to personalizing your pier to fit seamlessly into your waterfront lifestyle. Our goal is to deliver a pier that offers convenience, durability, and a clean, attractive appearance, enhancing your enjoyment of lakefront living. If you have specific preferences or want to explore customization options, we’re here to help you create the perfect pier for your needs.

OUR WORK

SEAWALLS

The most popular seawall option we offer features steel "I" beams driven into the lake bottom, with pre-cast concrete seawall panels slid in between them. Each panel is supported by welded "feet" on the "I" beams to prevent settling into the lake bottom. This design, also known as a soldier pile wall, is widely recognized for its effectiveness and durability.
Shoreline prefers the Crane Materials International Shoreguard synthetic sheet piling for its vinyl seawall option. This product has been a trusted choice in our area for 25 years, renowned for its resilience in harsh weather conditions compared to concrete. It also offers a variety of color options to match personal preferences.
Unlike traditional concrete seawalls, Shoreguard installation does not involve seawall posts. Instead, each interlocking piece is securely driven into the lake bottom, effectively sealing and minimizing erosion risks behind the wall.
CONCRETE
COMPOSITE
ROCK
The rock seawall, or rip-rap, is often selected for installation in areas with rough waters. It's commonly placed in front of existing seawalls to bolster their strength. Customers who prefer a more natural appearance for their seawall find the rock option particularly appealing.
This seawall option is exceptionally durable. Each sheet of sheet piling is driven into the lake bottom and interlocks with the others, similar to composite sheets. While the appearance of a steel seawall may not appeal to all customers, its enduring benefits often make it the optimal choice for your project. Shoreline has installed numerous rock seawalls throughout Ohio's inland lakes as a proactive step in shoreline protection and erosion control.
